Rancher Learning Opportunities – King Ranch Institute for Ranch Management Lectureship Schedule for 2020
As 2019 is quickly coming to a close, we would like to invite you to take a look at our 2020 Rancher Learning Opportunities schedule and make plans to commit to lifelong learning with us. Our exciting lineup of Grazing Management, Genetic Technology in Beef Cattle, and Equine Management lectureships are back, but we are most looking forward to our brand new lectureship!
Yes, you read that right! We have a new lectureship on our schedule for 2020: Managing the Cow-Calf Business.
Having the right tools and correctly handling important decisions is critical to managing a cow-calf business. Managerial decisions that involve number gathering and crunching can be overwhelming. We designed this lectureship to provide you with the fundamental skills used by successful ranch managers. We will work you through scenarios that include budgeting, determining stocking rate, and marketing calves to managing labor, depreciation, and purchased feed cost. Let us help you make sense of the most important managerial decisions in the cow-calf business.
We are proud to hold this new outreach in Fort Worth, Texas, January 9-10, 2020 in partnership with the Texas Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association. Our very own KRIRM faculty will lead the instruction of this lectureship.
