ABBA Disaster Relief Fund
A large majority of the American Brahman Breeders Association’s members have been severely affected by the flood waters of Hurricane Harvey that occurred in August of 2017. The southeast regions of Texas and parts of Louisiana have received an unprecedented amount of rainfall, some areas receiving over 40″, which has caused severe flooding. A natural disaster of this magnitude is life changing for our breeders as they scramble to move their cattle to higher ground or find pasture to the north to keep their livestock out of harm’s way.
The ABBA has set up a Disaster Relief Fund that will aid our members during this time of crisis. All funds raised will go directly to our members. There are two ways to donate, by check or credit card.
Donations DO NOT qualify as charitable contributions and are NOT tax deductible through the IRS.
If you would like to offer help such as donating supplies, pasture or hay to the hurricane victims, please visit the Hurricane Harvey Message Board.
Donation Payment by Check
To donate, please send a check payable to the American Brahman Breeders Association. In the memo line, please specify “Disaster Relief Fund” Harvey”.

Applying for Aid Through the ABBA Disaster Relief Fund
We are currently working on an application and a deadline to apply for aid through the Disaster Relief Fund. It is important to have a deadline that not only gives those wishing to donate adequate time to contribute to the Fund, but also gives those who suffered damage ample time to assess their needs and desires to apply for aid. 100% of the donations collected will be distributed equally to all persons making a valid claim.
